It is important to know that in England, a lot of emphasis is put on practical classes. Below you can find a list of universities that we think are particularly worth paying attention to.

  • Middlesex University – is distinguished by a high level education experience. It is among the 500 best universities in the world, and its strength are the artistic courses. Both bachelor’s and master’s degrees can be taken there.
  • London Metropolitan University – a university focused on practical experience. Its students are involved in the implementation of projects for various companies. It is among 700 best universities in the world and offers many faculties in bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

How to start studying in London?

The very recruitment process is not particularly complicated, but there are few important things to remember. First of all, you should apply for a place at the university before your final exams. Recruitment to all universities takes place via the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service website, which is briefly referred to as “UCAS”.

To apply for the chosen field of study you will need the following documents:

• secondary school certificate,

• Personal Statement (cover letter)

• references, for example from your teacher.

It is important that – in order to get to English universities – you do not have to take an international baccalaureate course! All you need is an ordinary Polish high school diploma – it is fully recognized in the recruitment process. For some majors, you will need additional documents, for example your projects or portfolio, prepared for artistic or architectural studies.

Before beginning your studies, you must think of the accommodation. Those who do not have family or friends in London, or simply want to become more independent, can use the dormitory. Two types of halls of residence can be distinguished in the capital of England: university and private halls. University dormitories are usually located fairly close to the university or are located on campus. Private dormitories are often located in various districts, but they have more places to offer. It is also possible to rent entire apartments (although it is a very expensive option) or individual rooms.
