Youth Justice Practitioner FdA

The aim of the course is to train staff to work with children and young people who have committed an offence or are at risk. The course educates to work with individuals between the ages of 10 and 17. Participation in the course allows you to prevent more crimes committed by minors and act as a graduate towards the prevention of offending among children.

What skills does the course participant gain?

  • Students learn to eliminate and reduce crime among young people aged 10-17 and reduce anti-social behaviour among them
  • Students learn to work with children from different backgrounds and in different material, psychological and social situations
  • The course programme includes the identification of needs and the development of an intervention plan for a given situation
  • Course participants learn to work closely with social workers, probation officers, police officers, schools, health agencies, court staff and staff in correctional institutions and children’s homes

Qualifications:

Two years’ working experience(CV)
or
High school or technical school leaving certificate with an average of 3.0/ Baccalaureate passed at 45% overall

Language test:

Internal language test passed at 4.5pct level (scale 1-8)

Year one:
Status:

Pre-settle/Settle status/ British passport/indefinitive leave to remain

Qualifications:

Baccalaureate passed with an average of 60% in all subjects

Language test:

Internal language test passed at 5.5pts (scale 1-8)
